the wild, wild west

I'm in Lanzhou, China, once one of the most polluted cities in the world. It's crazy over here. It's "developing" and the cleanliness leaves something to be desired. I've been sick since we got to this city, although I felt sick before we got on the plane, so I can't really blame Lanzhou.

Knitting! I have finished the sock club socks. They were sort of an experiment. They ended up loose at the top and snug at the bottom, but they are wearable so I am keeping them. I had yarn left over so I made my mom a pair of socks with very short cuffs. That's a record 4 socks for one ball of yarn! Yay for Tofutsies!

Now I'm working on Snowflake's scarf again.

I should probably shower.

crazy travel, etc.

Alright. I've been traveling all around and so knitting has fallen by the wayside a bit. I recently knitted a simple cable hat for Snowflake out of Baby Alpaca Grande and now I'm working on a matching scarf. The scarf is to replace one that I made awhile ago but his dad accidentally machine washed it. It was a sad time. Pictures of the new hat to come later.

I should start thinking about the June/July sock for the sock club. I bought a ball of Tofutsies already.
